1. Managed access to e-learning through a single portal for Council staff and the authority’s service delivery partners, as appropriate.

2. Manage and deliver e-learning, both via the Intranet and the Internet.

3. Tools to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of individual learning – (both from e-learning, traditional face to face and blended programmes).

4. Host a wide variety of training materials.

5. Provides the Authority with a variety of options for e-learning course creation.

6. A  solution  fully structured on industry standards, enabling the  Authority to easily and quickly integrate off-the shelf content into learning programmes.

7. In addition the solution includes content management tools, which will enable the Council to develop and deliver, blended learning programmes - for example to train staff on all manner of systems.

8. BT currently works with over 30 specialist partners in both the public and private sector to deliver successful learning and education projects e.g. NCSL Learning Gateway, MOD and BT Academy for 100000 employees.
